Spirit Airlines is the lowest U.S. carrier is further expanding its service to Colombia this winter.
The airline plans to provide a non-stop schedule flight for the passengers with a round-trip service from Fort Lauderdale to Alfonso Bonillo Aragon Airport in Cali, Colombia. Becoming a 68th international route, the airline will fly from its hub- Fort Lauderdale to Colombian City of Cali from December 20th, 2018.
The new route will be operated by either a 145-seated Airbus A319 or 182-seated Airbus A320 aircraft. Cali is the third largest airport of Colombia, will offer more than 2 million departure seats this year.
Spirit Airlines is currently operating 19 weekly US-Colombia flights from Fort Lauderdale to Bogota (daily), Medellin Jose Maria Cordova (five in a week), Cartagena (four in a week), and Armenia (three in a week).
We talked to some passengers and they told that they are glad to have an airline that is committed to provide the excellent services to its passengers at very affordable prices and that they are hoping that this new route will contribute in our country’s economic growth.
The carrier will launch three new services in early November from Orlando to Bogota (daily), Cartagena (twice a week), and Medellin (once a week). Although, the new router to Cali forms a part of a wider network expansion to Colombia from Florida.
This new route will benefit the passengers, as it starts in December 10 days before the vacation period begins. The airfare is cheaper and aircraft is faster that will benefit the passengers to reach on time without pulling out much money.
